Believers Church Delhi Diocese started a work in a leprosy colony through Sisters of Compassion on 8th February 2014. Bishop Dr. Simon John gave orientation classes to the sisters before they began the new initiative.
At present, there are four Sisters of Compassion working among the lepers. On their first visit to the colony, Sisters of Compassion introduced themselves, shared quality time with leprosy-affected people and distributed blankets among them. Thirty-two people received blankets.
People in leprosy colony were highly touched and moved by the love and care they got from sisters. They expressed their gratitude and happiness and told the sisters that they would like to see them often.
Believers Church regularly cares for the most neglected in society by showing compassion and providing for their needs.
