Sisters of Compassion from the Diocese of Lucknow educated community members about the importance of health and hygiene through awareness programs in the month of February 2014.
The villagers were very poor and didn’t have enough income to have a meal in a day. Some people cut wood from the forest and sold it in the market and some others earned a livelihood as daily wagers. The illiterate villagers lived in poor hygienic conditions and often fell sick.
Under these conditions, the sisters took the initiative to start health and hygiene awareness classes. The sisters provide them hygienic items like washing soap and bathing soap.
Through health and hygiene awareness programs like this, Believers Church has changed the lives of many communities.
