Siliguri Diocese Provides Pure Water

Believers Church Siliguri Diocese arranged a program to distribute BioSand water filters to community members in March 2013. Amar, a member of the BioSand department, shared with local villagers how impure water affects us physically. He also demonstrated how the BioSand filter purifies water.

Mr. Sapon was one of the people to receive a filter. “Due to impure water often our people used to get kidney stones,” he said. “They used to go for costly treatment and it was very difficult for them. But Believers Church is helping us to get pure water so that we can avoid drinking impure water. We are really thankful to Believers Church and their concern for poor communities.”

Believers Church develops rural villages like this one in a variety of ways, including clean water supply, poverty alleviation and adult literacy classes.
