Sikkim Kids Happy to Wash Hands

Believers Church Sikkim observed Global Hand Washing Day on 21st October 2012. This was the first program of its kind in the locality.

Children happily gathered to learn the importance of hygiene from Believers Church worker named Amit. He taught the kids to always keep their hands clean and to wash before meals. The children crowded around the instructor as they tried the new hand washing techniques for themselves.

 This was only one of many Global Hand Washing Day programs held across South Asia. Thousands of people learned to wash their hands with soap, which will significantly lower their risk of catching communicable disease.
