Sikkim Families Benefit from Community Development Program

Believers Church Sikkim conducted a community development program on the 28th of August.

Mrs. Bishnumaya Sherpa (Nagar Panchayat President) was invited as chief guest and Mr. T.B. Pradhan (Police Inspector) was invited as the guest of honour. The chief guest appreciated the social work Believers Church has done for the society.

The gifts included 21 goats, 18 piglets, five cows, seven bundles of tin roofing sheets, eight blankets, three sewing machines and one set of carpentry tools.

Menuka received tin sheets. She is the sole breadwinner in her family as her husband has poor eyesight. She expressed her heartfelt thanks and said she would construct a new house.

This is just one example out of many. Hundreds of thousands benefit from Believers Church’s community development projects each year.
