Believers Church Theological Seminary staff and students did social work in the community to celebrate India’s Independence Day on 15th August 2007. A team of more than 130 students went to a railway station to clean the place and surroundings. They cleaned the entrance area, ticket booking area, waiting hall, bathrooms, two platforms, over-bridge and the steps. They even cut and cleared the extra weeds that had spread around the station. Station officials were greatly pleased by their hard work.
Another team of 100 students did similar work in the main bus station. Even though there were a lot of buses and people waiting, the students came fully equipped with brooms, cloths, buckets and spades to clear the overgrown areas. They completely cleaned the place within three hours.
Believers Church takes the opportunity each year on Independence Day to serve surrounding communities.
