Republic Day Observed at Gorakhpur Seminary

India’s 64th Republic Day gave Believers Church Gorakhpur a chance to celebrate. Minor Seminary Students gathered with staff families for a program on the morning of 26th January.

After Rev. Fr. Martin hoisted the flag, he encouraged the students to be models for the nation. “We should live with united heart and love each other,” he said. He also shared a verse from the Bible: “Let everyone by subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established.”

In honor of the holiday, Believers Church staff and students enjoyed games together later in the day.

Believers Churches across India celebrated the nation on Republic Day and took time to pray for government leaders.
