Remote Villages Get New Bore Wells in the Diocese of Jasidih
May 31, 2014In the month of May 2014, the Diocese of Jasidih inaugurated five new bore wells in different villages. More than 700 people now depend on these bore wells for their water needs.
The villages were facing water scarcity for a long time. They depended on nearby open ponds for their bathing and washing clothes. To get drinking water they sometimes had to walk more than 15 kilometers.
The villagers were very happy about the inauguration of the bore well. They said, “From now onward water will be available 24 hours a day.”
The clean water project is a department of Believers Church working with the purpose to give pure, safe water to needy people.
