On 15th January 2014, the Diocese of Ranchi installed two new bore wells in different villages. More than 420 people use these bore wells for their daily water needs.
The villages in which the bore wells were installed were remote. People here depended on agriculture or daily labor for their livelihood. Most of them were living under the poverty line. Geographically, these villages were situated in the foothills and to fetch water the people had to walk kilometers through the rocky land.
In this situation, to help the villagers and to provide a pure water source, Believers Church decided to install bore wells. Now the villagers have sufficient clean water for all their daily work.
The clean water project serves the most basic need of life, for many communities – drinking water.
