Religious Leaders Attend Meeting on the Fight Against Tuberculosis

Religious leaders and representatives from various faiths took part in a meeting held at CMO Lucknow on 15 September 2021 where they discussed about Government of India’s ‘TB Harega, Desh Jeetega’ campaign which aims at eradicating TB by 2021.

Representing the Christian community, the vicar general of Believers Eastern Church was invited to share his views. Chaired by Chief Medical Officer and Dr. Denzil J Godin, MLA, the meeting concluded with the unanimous decision to accelerate efforts in ending TB by bringing awareness in villages and communities about symptoms of Tuberculosis and the Central Government’s TB control programs which ensures every TB patient has access to quality diagnosis, treatment and support.
