On 16th of July, Believers Church Kathmandu Diocese delivered blankets to flood victims.
Due to heavy rains, 66 houses were submerged in the flood water and the villagers lost all their belongings. Since then they have been taking shelter in the local government high school.
On seeing their pitiable condition, Believers Church Kathmandu Diocese took initiative to bring relief to the local people who had lost their homes. Local churches generated the funds to buy blankets. The distribution benefited 66 families.
“We are happy to receive this precious gift, because until now we received only food,” said one villager.
This is one example of how Believers Church responds to natural disaster by supplying food, supplies and medical attention.
