Believers Church Odisha Diocese expanded cyclone and flood relief work to four additional districts of Odisha over the past week of October.
Tens of thousands in these districts have lost their crops and houses and now live in relief camps.
One thousand families have already been given relief packets in Ganjam and Gajapati districts of Odisha. Each relief packet includes 10kg rice, 1kg dal, 1kg sugar, 100gms tea leaves, half litre cooking oil, 1 kg salt, 1 bathing soap and 1 washing soap.
Following this initial distribution, Believers Church Compassion teams expanded their reach. They provided relief packets to 1,000 more families in four additional districts: Puri, Balaswer, Khurda and Bhuvaneswar.
Believers Church is helping those who have lost their livelihood and hopes to rebuild their lives by meeting their daily needs and helping them stand on their own feet.
