As rains abate in flood-hit kerala and floodwaters begin to recede from several places, there is fear of an outbreak of disease among people who have taken refuge at relief camps. The people in relief camps also are in need of drinking water and other essential items.
In continuation of its relief efforts, on 20 August 2018, Believers Eastern Church distributed relief kits consisting of basic necessities such as mats, mugs, buckets and personal hygiene items to 500 more families in relief camps.
Medical teams from Believers Church Medical College Hospital also conducted medical camps and offered medical assistance and essential medicines to people in five relief camps.
