On 12 January 2021, priests and staff from Diocese of Mumbai visited a nearby village where they distributed ration kits to needy families.
Residents of this village are mostly poor and live in difficult conditions. Most of the men in this village are addicted to alcohol and young people are mostly jobless owing to lack of proper education.
Altogether 85 people from different families were present at the distribution program. Also present at the meeting were local political and village leaders. They appreciated the work done by the church to uplift the poor and the needy.
Each beneficiary was given a kit that contained rice, wheat, dal and jaggery. The beneficiaries received the gift with gratitude and joy.
