Ration Kits Distributed to 30 Families Affected by Cyclone Yaas

On 15 June 2021, a small parish in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kolkata held a ration kit distribution,under the guidance of HG Justin Mor Thomas Episcopa. The dry ration kits were provided to 30 families in East Medinipur district that have been worst affected by Cyclone Yaas and ongoing lockdown.

Mrs. Sathi Das, College Professor, East Medinipur, was the chief guest at the distribution program and helped in handing out the relief kits to the beneficiaries. Each family received a kit containing 2 kg rice, 1 kg dal, 1 kg puffed rice, 2 kg potato, 1 kg onion, ½ litre oil, 500 gm soyabean, few snack items and face masks.

The beneficiaries were thankful to the church for rendering them help amid the ongoing lockdown and Covid crisis.

Abhijit, said, “Many of us have lost our homes and belongings. I am thankful to Believers Eastern Church for standing by my family during this crisis and providing us dry ration kits.”
