A Believers Church Ranchi Diocese team visited a leprosy colony in honor of World Leprosy Day on 27th January 2013. 46 families live in the colony, which is located near a huge, smelly drainage area. They survive by begging from morning to evening. Some of them cannot walk due to their disease.
Church workers listened to patients’ individual stories and then everyone gathered together for encouragement and prayer. The team also distributed blankets. The leprosy-affected people felt some relief from their suffering after the program.
This colony was one of many places Believers Church visited on World Leprosy Day.
