Ranchi Diocese Celebrates Christmas with Chief Minister

Believers Church Ranchi Diocese celebrated Christmas with the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Mr. Hemant Soren. The celebration, Christmas Milan Samaroh, took place at the Chief Minister’s residence on 23rd December 2013. This was the first time such a celebration took place since the formation of the state.

Other Christian leaders and political leaders also attended the function.Mr. JaiRam Ramesh (Union Minister for Rural Development and Chairman of Coordination Committee of Jharkhand), Mr. B.K. Hari Prasad (Senior Congress Leader) and Cardinal H.E.T. Toppo (Roman Catholic Bishop) were among the invitees.

Honorable Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren was highly moved by the contributions of Believers Church for the society. He expressed his appreciation for the church’s Metropolitan Bishop, Dr. K.P. Yohannan.

The Honorable Chief Minister presented the diocesan leaders a special Christmas cake and extended his support for the church’s future activities. He promised to attend upcoming social and educational events organized by the church.

This is one example of how Believers Church has worked toward national unity and integration throughout 2013.
