On 18th November 2012, tribal people from a remote village in Kerala were taught health awareness classes by Believers Church Niranam Diocese.
Around 60 families are living in the village. Children as young as five years of age were addicted to alcohol and drugs.
Nearly 30 people attended the health awareness class which enlightened them on the effects of drug abuse. Most children realized their mistake and promised to stay away from drugs. They also received toothbrushes and toothpaste from the church.
This is just one example of how Believers Church brings help and hope to the most neglected sections of society.
