Believers Church Delhi Diocese organized a Children Day’s event among the community on 18th November 2012. 25 children and their parents gathered to celebrate Children’s Day.
The church took the opportunity to show a video about hand washing. The parents were amazed to see the need to wash hands and learn how to do it properly.
A team of church workers then did an action song to amuse the children. The kids happily asked them to do it again and again. Later, they enjoyed a game session with prizes.
Children’s Day is officially held on the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru (14th November) each year. Hearing his story encouraged the gathering to have love and concern for friends and even people they meet for the first time.
This is one example of how Believers Church changes communities through education on vital social issues.
