Two days after massive landslides struck the Wayanad district in Kerala, the death toll has tragically risen to over 300. Several people remain missing, and rescue teams are working tirelessly under adverse conditions to find survivors. The rescue efforts are hampered by numerous challenges, including waterlogged soil, treacherous terrain from destroyed roads and bridges, and a shortage of heavy equipment. These obstacles make it difficult for emergency personnel to clear the massive mud and uprooted trees that have buried houses and other buildings.
Please uphold in prayer the Believers Church Medical College Hospital’s medical team working in Chooralmala, the epicenter of the landslide. They are directly involved in the relief and rescue work there. Pray that God grants them strength and protection, and may their efforts bring relief, hope and healing to those affected.
