Poverty Alleviation Program Helps 25 Families in Sikkim

A poverty alleviation program was held by Believers Church Sikkim on 20th February 2014. Twenty-five families were benefitted by this program. The gifts included blankets, sewing machines and more.

Mr. T. B. Tamling (Department of Tourism) was invited as the Chief Guest of the program. In his address he said, “I am amazed to witness the love of God among the poor through Believers Church. Before I never witnessed such kind of social activity performed by any organizations.

Ramba, one of the beneficiaries, said, “I am very excited and overjoyed. I never thought that even a poor lady like me would receive a sewing machine as a gift. I am sure this will bring hope to my family.”

This is one of the many ways Believers Church helps people to break the cycle of poverty.
