On the occasion of India’s 64th Independence Day, Believers Church Gorakhpur conducted a community development program in a place called Mau in Uttar Pradesh.
More than 400 people gathered for the event. Ordained clergy and pastors from the districts of Ballia, Ajamgarh and Gajipur attended the program along with the needy recipients.
Some important individuals also came for the program, including Mr. Darasingh Chauhan (Member of Parliament), Mr. Rakesh (District Magistrate of Mau), Mr. Onkar Singh (Superintendent of Police), Miss Rana Khatun (Municipality Chairman), Advocate Satya Prakash Singh (District Bar Association Secretary), Etana (Fatima Hospital Mau in charge) and Ajay Kumar Sahu (Vaisya Samaj Maha Sachib).
The special guests addressed the audience with speeches focused on Believers Church’s community service.
Different items like tricycles (for handicapped people), cycle rickshaws, pulling rickshaws, carpentry tools, motorcycle repair tools, bicycle repair tools, barber tools, cows, goats, buffalos and sewing machines were distributed to the recipients.
Through the hard work of our team from the office in Gorakhpur and the guidance of the local Believers Church pastor, Rev. Fr. Ram, the program was successful. A total of 400 families benefited from this distribution program.
Believers Church’s work for the poorest of the poor was appreciated highly by the politicians, leaders, guests and local people.
