A community development program was held in Believers Church Dhemaji Diocese on the 10th of July.
Around 70 people attended the program despite the awful weather conditions. 42 under privileged families received free gifts of goat, piglets, and tin sheets. The people acknowledged the love and concern shown to them through Believers Church. These gifts will help to meet their family needs and lighten their burdens.
Nittamandhi Kaman, who received a piglet, said “I am glad to receive this piglet. Now I can rear pigs and by selling them solve the financial crisis in my family. I thank God for this free help.”
Lecai Doley said, “I am thankful for giving my family tin sheets. Our house has holes. When rain falls, water comes inside and we have to sleep in one corner. I could not afford to buy tin sheets as I am a farmer and my income depends on the crops. I am glad that I can change the roof.”
Believers Church conducts such community development programs in many villages by selecting the appropriate beneficiaries.
