Extending a helping hand, a local parish in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Birtamod distributed essential supplies to needy families in two different villages of Sankhuwasabha District, East Nepal on 12 July 2021.
Altogether, 10 families were provided with the essential supplies. Each family received a sack of 30 kg rice, 1 litre oil, and 1 kg each of dal and salt. The parish priest went the extra mile to deliver the rations to people at their doorstep.
The recipients were daily wage laborers who were in dire need of help. They received the items gladly and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the church for the assistance.
Sandip said, “My family and I survive by working in others’ paddy fields. I am thankful to the church for providing us these essential supplies during this difficult time.”
“Thank you for delivering these essential items at my doorstep. It is a great help for my family during this pandemic”, said Abhishek.
