On 8th June, a Poverty Alleviation community development program was conducted in Believers Church Kolkata Diocese.
The recipients were poor who live in very pathetic conditions. They have no proper nutritious food for their children and no proper education.
45 families benefited from this program. They were given tin pieces, goats, cows, sewing machines, van rickshaws, piglets, bicycle, chickens and solar. The gifts they received will enable them to meet their needs.
Nakul Das, 40 yrs old received a cow .He said,” I had great desire to purchase a cow but because of poverty, I was not able to do that. I am very much happy to receive the cow.”
Believers Church conducts such community development programs in many villages by selecting the appropriate beneficiaries.
