Poor Families Helped With Essential Supplies in Diocese of Birtamod

The unprecedented economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has pushed hundreds of thousands of families in Nepal deeper into poverty. Believers Eastern Church parishes across the country are doing everything possible to help those affected by the pandemic.

A local parish in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Birtamod distributed dry rations to Covid-hit families in Dhankuta District, East Nepal on 8 July 2021.

A total of 13 families were provided with dry ration items. Each family received a package of ration kits consisting of 15 kg rice, 1 kg dal, and 1 kg salt.

The beneficiaries were daily wage laborers who were in dire need of help. They received the items happily and thanked the church for the kind help.

Purna Rai said, “Thank you for helping me with essential supplies as I was struggling to provide food to my family. God bless your kind heart.”
