Political Leaders Inaugurate 11 New Wells

Believers Church Lucknow Diocese inaugurated 11 new wells in an undeveloped area on 5th February 2013. Although this place lacked proper electricity and education, its main problem was water scarcity.

Mr. Abhishek Misra (protocol minister of Samajvadi party) and Kapil Yadav (sarpanch) had requested Believers Church to install a hand pump here. When the church surveyed the area, they realized it actually needed 11 wells.

Political dignitaries and hundreds of local people gathered for the inauguration. Villagers were excited for the huge difference the new wells would make.

Chief guest Mr. Kuldeep Singh Yadav (National Secretary of Samajvadi Party) said he had never installed this many wells at a time since he had been in politics. “But Believers Church did it, and also the church leadership is willing to bore wells in many more interior places,” he said.

But water supply is only one aspect of Believers Church’s community development work. The church also plans to start an adult literacy class and a Bridge of Hope center in this village.

Thousands of struggling communities are impacted by these projects each year.
