Believers Church Mumbai Diocese celebrated Independence Day on the 15th of August.
The celebrations started with a flag hoisting ceremony in the morning for which Mr. Vivek Patel (MLA) was the chief guest. Rev. Fr. Roy spoke on how to eradicate violence and sustain our lives with peace and harmony.
Afterwards, Minor Seminary students and staff went to the police station and cleaned its premises.
Also, a Women’s Fellowship team along with Sisters of Compassion distributed clothes to 25 people living in a slum. They distributed twenty-one salwar sets, four sarees and few dresses to the children. A woman with a new born baby was also present and she was given a baby mattress and some baby clothes.
She thanked them saying, “I am very much happy to have this clothing for us. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your concern for the needy.”
Believers Church extends a helping hand to those in need on special occasions such as this.
