The Diocese of Bengaluru held a poverty alleviation program on 17th June 2014. Fifty-five people received gifts like sewing machines, sheep, mason tools, carpentry tools and vegetable carts.
Mr. Siddaramaya (Ex-Chief Minister) was the chief guest of the program. He appreciated the work of Believers Church among poor and needy and distributed the gifts among them.
Upon receiving the gifts people were very happy and expressed their gratitude. “We are honored and thankful to Believers Church,” a villager said, “for giving gifts to us which would enable us to earn livelihood by doing a respectable work in the society.”
Through poverty alleviation program the church helps the people to break the cycle of poverty.
