Believers Church Nagpur Diocese celebrated 2008’s Independence Day in local churches by working in their communities.
About 150 people from Believers Churches in the area cleaned the entire premises of the local police station. On witnessing the hard work of the church members, the policemen could not sit idly, but actually joined in the cleaning. Media representatives covered the program.
In another area, Pastor Chandrakent led his congregation to clean a bus stand. Their goal was not only to serve the community, but to bring awareness to locals about the importance of cleanliness.
Elsewhere, a Believers Church team consisting of 24 members cleaned a government school in Amravati district. Another team from Bhandara district cleaned the transport bus stand and planted 11 Ashoka trees there.
Simultaneously, a team of women visited a government hospital, prayed for the sick and distributed fruits to the patients.
These are just a few of the church’s social activities to improve communities nationwide. Independence Day is a day of festive service for Believers Church.
