Parishes in Archdiocese of Delhi Celebrate Children’s Day

Parishes in Believers Eastern Church Archdiocese of Delhi celebrated Children’s Day with various programs on 14 November 2021, on the occasion of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth anniversary.

In each local parish, the program began with prayer, followed by an inspirational speech delivered by the local priest or the Sunday school leader. Parishes organized various games and activities such as Bible quiz, singing competition, and memory verse competitions for children. Prizes were distributed to the winners of these competitions. In some parishes, children performed special songs and action songs. The parents were also happy to see their children participating in various programs.

The celebrations came to an end with the distribution of gifts like notebooks, pencils, crayons and pens as a token of love to the children by the Sunday school teachers’ team. Followed by, lunch was served to all in some parishes. And in other parishes refreshments and snacks were provided to the children.

Shaina, a Sunday School child said, “I had so much fun on the children’s day. I thank God for my Sunday School teacher for organizing a wonderful program for us. God bless him.”
