A priest and members of a parish in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kathmandu reached out to the poor and needy children of the local village with school supplies to help them receive the best education possible.
These children come from financially disadvantaged families that need to toil day and night to make ends meet. As they have no means to provide resources for their children’s education, the children are left with no choice but to go to school without the most basic school essentials.
On seeing their plight, the parish priest took the initiative to help them with educational materials such as school bags, notebooks, pens, school uniforms, formal dresses as well hygiene items such as bathing soaps, washing soaps, brushes, and toothpaste.
Along with the priest, the church elder and youth leader of the parish were present at the distribution. Before giving away the school supplies, the priest talked to the children and encouraged them to study well for a better future. All the children received the items with joyful hearts and smiling faces.
