Parish Brings Relief to the Needy Through Distribution Program

A local parish in the Southwest region of Sikkim recently organized a charitable distribution program to support the poor and needy in Madarihaat, Jaigaon, West Bengal. Demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ, the parish distributed essential items such as blankets, mosquito nets, and clothing, along with other necessities.

Through this initiative, the parish was able to provide much-needed support to 25 individuals, bringing comfort and relief to their lives. The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Church for the generous gesture.

Malati Paiyar, one of the recipients, shared her appreciation, saying, “I personally would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the gift I received today. We had been trying to purchase these items for our family, but due to financial struggles, we couldn’t afford them. Today, you have freely given us this gift, and I am truly grateful.”

The distribution program not only provided material assistance but also conveyed a message of hope and care, reflecting the Church’s ongoing commitment to serving those in need.
