Over 850 Youngsters Attend Youth Conference

The Youth Department of Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kathmandu Nepal organized a transformative event aimed at empowering the youth and igniting their spiritual fervor. The three-day youth conference, held from November 13th to 15th, 2023, turned out to be a huge blessing for over 850 enthusiastic youngsters from 21 districts across Nepal.

The conference commenced each day with the sacred celebration of Holy Eucharist, with all participants actively engaging in the solemn service. Esteemed speakers, including His Grace Titus Mor Osthathioce Episcopa, Diocesan Vicar of Kathmandu Diocese, and other leaders, imparted profound wisdom on various subjects. Topics spanned from the significance of ‘Let Your Light Shine’ and ‘Origin of the Orthodox Church’ to more contemporary themes like ‘Social Media and Christianity’ and ‘God’s Call for Youth.’

The participants were invigorated and spiritually uplifted by the teachings delivered throughout the conference. One of the attendees, Shanti Bishwakarma, expressed her enlightenment, stating, “The teachings of every speaker have inspired me and added more knowledge in my life about faith and traditions of our church. I have also learned that as a youth or daughter of God, I must be a light to those in darkness.”

In addition to the enlightening sessions, the event hosted daily dance competitions, singing competitions, Bible quizzes, and talent shows, showcasing the hidden talents of the attendees.

The conference culminated with a vibrant display of youthful talent and dedication as awards were presented to winners of the singing, dance, and Bible quiz competitions. Several participants were given the opportunity to share their learnings and experiences gained during the conference.
