Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Ranchi reached out to poor and needy children in the community with dry rations, school and hygiene supplies on 11 October 2021 through Hope for Children.
Shri. Royal Baxla Oraon, the block chief was the chief guest at the program. Speaking on the occasion he said, “Education is key to the development and growth of our country. By providing children with all these essentials, the church is helping these children have good education, nutrition and health. I definitely believe that when children are educated society will develop.
Altogether, 81 poor and needy children from a small village in Khunti district, Jharkhand, received the items during the program. Each child received 2 kg rice, 500 gm dal, 5 pens , 6 pencils, 2 sharpeners, 4 erasers, hand wash, 5 shampoo, ruler, geometry box, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair oil, 2 washing soaps and 3 bathing soaps.
