Over 40 Needy Families Receive Free Blankets in Diocese of Lucknow

With intense cold conditions continuing across north India, normal life has been badly affected in several areas of the region. At least 143 persons have died due to severe cold conditions in Uttar Pradesh alone.

To help the poor and the needy survive the harsh winter, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Lucknow held a blanket distribution in a village on 9th January 2018.

Mr. Harinder Moarya (Village Head) and Mr. Chandrika Prasad (Village Panchayat Member) were the chief guests of the distribution event and they distributed blankets to 41 families on the occasion. These families are very poor and they depend on farming and daily labor for earning a living.

They were extremely grateful to the church for providing them with quality blankets to keep them safe and warm this winter.
