Some Bridge of Hope centers in Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese conducted free medical camps in the month of October.
These camps were conducted under the guidance of an experienced local doctors and trained nurses. Students and parents were given examinations and provided with treatment and medicine free-of-charge when required. Multivitamin tablets for women were also distributed. Over 1000 people including Bridge of Hope children and their parents were benefited through these free medical camps.
The doctors also shared the importance of hand washing on Global Hand Washing Day. They shared that hands are the most exposed part of the body to germs. Touching the eyes, mouth, nose or food transfers the germs into the body. So, washing our hands is the best way to stop germs from spreading.
One of the villagers said, “Health is a vital aspect of life. Bridge of Hope has done remarkably good in the health sector. We are grateful to their support for the poor and needy.”
