On August 26, 2024, the Youth Department of the Kathmandu Archdiocese organized a vibrant One-Day Youth Program at Holy Trinity Believers Eastern Church in Nepal. The event brought together 280 enthusiastic young participants eager to deepen their faith and understanding of the Holy Church.
His Grace Titus Mor Osthathiose Episcopa of the Kathmandu Archdiocese was the keynote speaker. The day commenced at 8:00 a.m. with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, officiated by the diocesan vicar. Teaching sessions began at 10:00 a.m., where His Grace Titus Mor Osthathiose Episcopa addressed the youth on the topic, Why We Believe What We Believe. He provided in-depth insights on Written and Oral Traditions, the Seven Ecumenical Councils, the Nicene Creed, and the Teachings and Contributions of the Church Fathers. Each point was meticulously explained with biblical, apostolic, and holy traditional references, enriching the participants’ understanding of their faith.
The program concluded with a word of prayer and benediction from His Grace, leaving the attendees inspired and spiritually uplifted.
Brother Samuel Rai shared his thoughts, saying, “To preserve the Holy Church, the early Church Fathers played an essential role. Listening to their lives has truly inspired me to follow in their footsteps. Thank you, Episcopa, for teaching us so well.”
Sister Diksha Tamang added, “I was unaware of many historical teachings of the Holy Church, but within a short time, the Episcopa imparted this knowledge meaningfully. He has made us familiar with the historical teachings.”
This enriching program not only strengthened the youth’s connection to their faith but also deepened their understanding of the Church’s rich history and traditions.
