On 16th October 2012, Believers Church Odisha Diocese celebrated Global Hand Washing Day and World Food Day at a leper colony.
Around 20 Women’s Fellowship members along with the Minor Seminary Students visited the colony. They started the program with a word of prayer.
Mrs. Stella (Women’s Fellowship) shared with the community children about the importance of hand washing. The children were happy to use their new skills.
Later, the team distributed 230 free food packets. They also gave bathing and washing soap to 50 families afflicted with leprosy. The people said they were blessed by the program.
Believers Church takes each opportunity to uplift and educate the downtrodden. Communities all over South Asia received hygiene tips and free food on Global Hand Washing Day and World Food Day.
