Odisha Diocese Rebuilds Homes after Communal Riots

Believers Church Odisha Diocese rebuilt more than 1,300 homes after they were destroyed or damaged by communal violence in Kandhamal district in 2008. The construction was completed in 2011.

“After the riots in Kandhamal, we were homeless,” said Mohan; “we stayed in the Tikabali Relief Camp for one and half years… Believers Church perceived our anguished and agreed to rebuild our houses by providing the all house requirement goods within a short period of time. Now we live in our own house, which is far better than the old one.”

This is just one example of how Believers Church is committed to strengthening communities and promoting peace.
