Believers Church Odisha Diocese took initiative to meet the needs of lepers on the occasion of Independence Day on the 15th of August.
Diocesan staff and students provided lunch to a colony of 100 lepers. A Women’s Fellowship team visited another area where they gave lunch to 150 lepers.
Rev.Fr. Sibu delivered God’s word. He said, “No matter poor or rich we have to die one day. There is one God, if we believe in his mighty name we can be saved from sickness.” The women’s team also cleaned the surroundings of the leper colony.
Chandeshwar has been affected with leprosy for the past 20 years. His family has discarded him. He said, “Though my own people hate me, you have cared for me.”
Believers Church cares for the outcasts in our society giving them a reason to have hope in life.
