New Well Inaugurated in Remote Area of West Bengal
June 12, 2013A new well was inaugurated in a remote area on the 12th of June by Believers Church Kolkata Diocese.
The people living in this village did not have proper drinking water. Since they are poor they could not afford any other means of getting clean water and were using pond water for drinking, cooking and cleaning.
Realizing their need for a proper source of drinking water Believers Church installed a new bore well in their village. Now the villagers are able to draw clean drinking water. The people living in the village are very pleased with the new well.
Around 70 families are using this well on a daily basis. Believers Church supplies safe water to hundreds of communities each year through bore wells and BioSand water filters.
