New Water Tank built for Bridge of Hope Center

Believers Church Sikkim built a new water tank and inaugurated it on the 21st of September for a Bridge of Hope center.

The Bridge of Hope center has over 100 children enrolled. The nearest source of water is three kilometers away. There was a pipeline that carried water from here, but there was no water tank available to store it. Cooking meals for the Bridge of Hope children was difficult without a store of water.

In order to solve these problems, Believers Church installed a new water tank. Now the water from the tank benefits 10 families living in the area and the children from Bridge of Hope center have clean water to drink.

Mr. Arun Lama (Principal of Sanja Memorial English School) was invited as guest of honour and Mr. Durga Das Gurung was invited as the chief guest of the program. The chief guest inaugurated the tank by cutting a ribbon and unveiling the curtain. Mr. Durga Das said in his speech that many poor people who could not afford to construct their own tank would also be benefited by the installation of the tank.

The kids who are enrolled in Bridge of Hope centers receive education, medical services, social awareness and nutritious food.
