In an initiative to empower underprivileged women with livelihood skills and make them self-reliant, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Mumbai opened a tailoring center on 29 July 2021.
The tailoring training center was inaugurated by Mr. Rajendra Jadhav, Assistant Police Inspector and Mrs. Nita Mali, a social worker.
During the program, the church awarded certificate of appreciation to corona warriors who are at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19.
The free tailoring training centre is established as a part of the Hope for Children’s new skill development program “Hunar Vikas Karyakram” which is focused on empowering 20,000 Covid-hit families in 51 different locations through providing them with alternative livelihood training and the tools necessary to transform their own communities.
