A New Tailoring Center Inaugurated in Diocese of Birtamod

Hunar Vikas Karyakram (Skill Development Program) is an initiative undertaken by Hope for Children to empower Covid-hit families to be self-reliant by providing them free vocational training.

Under this scheme, on 26 October 2021, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Birtamod inaugurated a new tailoring center in Jhapa district to provide livelihood opportunities for women who have suffered economic losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The vicar general of the diocese inaugurated the tailoring center. A total 38 people participated in this inauguration program.

Invited guests from the community appreciated the Hope for Children for its service to society as well as thanked the leaders of the church for taking initiative to empower poor and needy women through skill training.

A total of 12 women have enrolled for the training program.
