Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kolkata started off the New Year with organizing a community development program in a remote island in West Bengal on 1st January 2018.
The diocese distributed income-generating tools such as sewing machines, rickshaw vans, cows, goats, chicks and fishing nets to 30 poor and needy families of the island, on the occasion. Bishop Jeba Singh distributed the gift items to the recipients which also included destitute widows.
The beneficiaries were very happy to receive the gifts. “I can’t express my gratitude in words for gifting me with a rickshaw van.
