The Women’s Fellowship department of Believers Church launched its Health Care Project on 16th January 2013. Former MLA Joseph M Puthussery attended the inauguration as special guest.
73 women from across India and Nepal gathered for training at the church’s Synod Secretariat in Kerala. From 16-20 January, Dr. Daniel Johnson and Mrs. Idaline (nurse) will teach about childcare, first aid and personal hygiene for women.
The church’s vision is for these women to return to their dioceses and systematically transmit the information to 9,200 local Women’s Fellowship groups. The entire training on a village level will span two years, covering 24 modules.
This project will educate around 20 lakh women. Health awareness will replace superstition and ignorance, helping save thousands of lives.
