Believers Church Patna Diocese inaugurated its 13th Bridge of Hope project center on 17th February 2014. More than 1,000 villagers attended the program. Shri Dhoop Narayan Singh (District Councilor) was the chief guest, and joined Bishop M.A. Lalachan in lighting the inaugural lamp. He appreciated the initiative taken by Believers Church toward holistic development of children in need and urged the community to take advantage of the project.
Bishop M.A. Lalachan explained Bridge of Hope’s vision to integrate the underprivileged into mainstream society and to provide quality education for their children. He quoted Jesus’ words from Matthew 18:5—“Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.”
One hundred twenty-five children from extremely poor families were enrolled in the new center. In addition to providing for the education and basic needs of the children, the center will offer vocational training and literacy classes to community members.
Believers Church currently helps more than 67,000 impoverished children through Bridge of Hope.
