Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese installed a new bore well in a village in the month of July, 2013.
The village had been suffering from water scarcity for a very long time. The paddy fields had dried up. Men had left their families behind and gone to the nearby towns in search of work and wages. The women bore the brunt of house work. They used to walk several kilometers to fetch water for their family and their livestock. They suffered from severe joint pain because of carrying the heavy containers of water.
Seeing their struggle for water, Believers Church decided to install a new well which will relieve the water scarcity in the village. Now the villagers get clean drinking water on a daily basis. More than 5,000 people benefit from the water from this well.
The villagers are grateful to Believers Church and thanked the church for its efforts to provide water.
This is just one example of how Believers Church provides water to communities in need. Each year the church drills hundreds of wells in developing areas.
