Nellore Diocese Celebrates World Leprosy Day by Cleaning Leprosy Colony

Believers Church Nellore Diocese observed World Leprosy Day on 30th January 2014. On this day, a Women’s Fellowship team cleaned the roads of a leprosy colony.

The people who are staying in the colony appreciated Women’s Fellowship for their act of concern. One lady Muniamma said, “We have great difficulty to clean our own houses every day, we usually clean our house once in two days. But you people come and clean our houses and roads.”

John, another leper, said “Many people will not stand near to us, but you people come speaking with us freely and cleaning roads, and houses. I understood that God still loves me through you people.”

Believers Church regularly cares for the most neglected in society by showing compassion and providing for their needs.
